Procurement & Merchandiser Job in Hong Kong – Diamond & Jewelry Industry

Are you an experienced procurement professional with expertise in diamonds, gemstones, or fine jewelry? A leading jewelry exporter in Hong Kong is looking for a highly skilled Procurement & Merchandiser (採購員 / 配石員 / 分石員) to join their growing team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in the heart of Hong Kong’s jewelry industry, with exposure to international markets including the Middle East, Southeast Asia, Europe, and North America.

💎 Job Responsibilities

As a Procurement & Merchandiser, you will:

Lead and manage all procurement activities in compliance with company policies and procedures.
Conduct market research to monitor industry trends, pricing, and supply chain insights to support purchasing decisions.
Select, negotiate, and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring high-quality procurement and favorable contract terms.
Collaborate with internal departments to define purchasing needs, draft tender documents, quotations, contracts, and purchase orders.
Liaise with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of goods and services at competitive prices.
Monitor supplier performance and resolve operational issues such as delays or quality problems.
Maintain a comprehensive supplier database, updated pricing, and full procurement transaction records.

📌 Job Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

10+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supplier management.
Strong knowledge and grading skills in diamonds, lab-grown diamonds, gemstones, and semi-precious stones (color, clarity, and quality evaluation).
Deep understanding of international markets and supply chain strategies.
Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and solve operational challenges effectively.
Honest, detail-oriented, responsible, and a strong team player.
Willingness to travel to factories in China and work overseas when required.
Education: Form 5 (F.5) or above.

🕒 Work Schedule & Benefits

Location: Hong Kong
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (5-day work week, 8 hours/day)
Annual Leave: 10 days
