What You’ll Do
As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting Veterans’ daily needs and clinical care. Responsibilities include:

Assisting with personal hygiene, mobility, nutrition, and comfort

Performing basic clinical tasks such as glucose monitoring, phlebotomy, EKGs, and routine procedures under RN/LVN guidance

Supporting rehabilitative and therapeutic activities including group programs and patient engagement

Maintaining patient safety, dignity, and privacy at all times

Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to provide high-quality care

Who Can Apply?
To be eligible, candidates must:

Be a U.S. Citizen

Hold an LVN license (preferred but not mandatory for GS-3 level entry)

Be proficient in English (written and spoken)

Meet education/experience requirements, such as:

Six months of healthcare-related experience, OR
-
One year of education above high school in a healthcare-related program, OR

Completion of a Nursing Assistant training program

Preferred candidates will have experience in ambulatory care, medical/surgical settings, emergency, or critical care. Certifications such as CNA and Basic Life Support (BLS) are highly valued.
