🧹 Job Summary

As part of the Environmental Services team, you’ll be responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe environment for both patients and staff across MMH properties. Your role ensures that infection prevention and comfort are prioritized at all times.

✅ Key Responsibilities

Clean and disinfect patient rooms, restrooms, and hospital areas according to strict safety and hygiene procedures.
Sanitize medical equipment such as ECG leads, IV poles, and commode chairs.
Maintain lobbies, corridors, elevators, and meeting rooms in spotless condition.
Handle waste disposal, including red bag and biohazard waste.
Restock supplies like toilet paper and paper towels.
Use safety equipment (e.g., ladders, wet floor signage) properly.
Perform deep cleaning, detailed sanitization, and window/furniture cleaning as scheduled.
Report maintenance issues and safety hazards promptly.
Assist in the germination process for isolation rooms.

Strong customer service skills to interact respectfully with patients and staff.
Good communication—both verbal and written.
Basic ability to operate cleaning and office equipment.
A high school diploma or GED (required).

No prior experience is necessary—MMH provides training!

🏥 Physical Requirements

Ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly (and occasionally up to 50 lbs).
Frequent walking, standing, kneeling, reaching, and pushing.
Stamina to work in a physically active, fast-paced hospital environment.
