We’re seeking a Field Applications Engineer to support our customers’ PCB design and manufacturing teams. If you have PCB expertise, trade compliance knowledge, and experience in manufacturing environments, this role gives you the chance to make a real impact while collaborating with cutting-edge technology leaders.
About the Role
As a Field Applications Engineer, you’ll provide technical support and guidance to customer engineering and design teams. From early-stage design to pre-production approval, you’ll help optimize PCB layouts, ensure manufacturability, and advise on materials, reliability, and signal integrity.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFV (Design for Value) support for new designs and existing improvements.

Collaborate with customer designers to enhance the quality and completeness of design packages.

Review drawings prior to design release and ensure alignment with manufacturing capabilities.

Maintain knowledge of industry standards (IPC) and customer-specific requirements.
-
Deliver formal presentations on TTM capabilities and technology roadmaps.
-
Support pre-production approval processes and resolve “on-hold” issues quickly.

Establish technical contacts to strengthen communication and collaboration with customers.

Assist Sales Account Managers by providing technical expertise to grow customer revenue.

Travel to customer sites (up to 25%) to support technical discussions and programs.
Who You Are
The ideal candidate has:

5–7+ years of engineering experience in PCB design and manufacturing.

Strong understanding of PCB process flows, electrical design, and signal integrity (Impedance, RF, Insertion Loss).

Knowledge of trade compliance and export control regulations (ITAR, EAR, OFAC).

Experience in technical presentations and customer-facing support.

Proficiency in PCB CAM software, stack-up tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and travel as needed.

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline (preferred).
