Job Overview

The position is based in Brampton, ON (L6T 5A2) and requires individuals with at least a high school diploma or GED. Candidates should have 7 months to less than 1 year of experience, or equivalent training in painting and finishing work.

This is a full-time role (35 hours per week) with the potential for on-call shifts, so flexibility is important.

Key Responsibilities

As a Painter, your day-to-day work will include a wide variety of tasks such as:

Preparing, cleaning, and sanding surfaces before painting.
Repairing cracks and holes to ensure smooth finishes.
Mixing paints to achieve desired colors and textures.
Measuring, cutting, and applying wallpaper or wall fabrics.
Advising clients on color choices and wall covering designs.
Erecting scaffolding, swing stages, and attaching rigging when required.
Applying paint, wallpaper, and other finishes to both interior and exterior surfaces.
Estimating costs and materials for projects.

This role is hands-on and requires working at heights, making it well-suited for individuals comfortable with physical and detailed work.

Requirements

To qualify, you’ll need:

A high school diploma or GED (secondary graduation certificate).
Ability to communicate in English.
Previous experience in painting (minimum 7 months to 1 year preferred).
Availability for on-call or flexible shifts.
