Position: Pharmacy Technician (Part-Time, Night Shift)
Location: Monument Health Rapid City Hospital, SD
Pay: $21.46 – $26.82 per hour (based on experience and skills)
Shift: 12-hour night shifts
Schedule: 20 hours per week

This position plays a vital role in supporting pharmacists by preparing, labeling, and distributing medications safely and efficiently, while also operating advanced pharmacy technology.

✅ Responsibilities

As a Pharmacy Technician, your duties will include:

Assisting pharmacists with daily medication preparation and distribution.
Completing billing and ensuring accurate charges.
Labeling and packaging medications to ensure timely delivery to patients.
Operating automated pharmacy technologies (dispensing cabinets, packagers, printers, etc.).
Aseptic compounding of sterile dosage forms.
Handling hazardous medications safely and following best practices.
Training and assisting new pharmacy staff.
Performing Tech-Check-Tech responsibilities once validated.

📌 Requirements

To qualify, candidates must have:

Education: High School Diploma or GED.
Certification:
- South Dakota Board of Pharmacy registration (within 30 days of hire).
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) from the PTCB.
Experience: At least 1+ year in pharmaceutical or pharmacy-related roles.

Preferred qualifications include:

Associate’s degree in a health-related field.
Hazardous Drug Management Certification.
Technician Product Verification (Tech-Check-Tech) Certification.
