As a Groundskeeper, you’ll play an important role in keeping hospital grounds safe, clean, and well-maintained for patients, visitors, and staff. This includes landscaping, snow removal, equipment relocation, and general grounds maintenance.

Pay: Starting from $19.33 per hour
Type: Full-time (Evening & Night shifts available)
Location: Hackensack Meridian Health, New Jersey

🔑 Key Responsibilities

A day in the life of a Groundskeeper at HMH includes:

Operating landscaping equipment (lawn mowers, blowers, trimmers, tractors, sweepers).
Performing snow removal using plows, bobcats, and spreaders.
Moving and relocating furniture, files, and medical equipment.
Maintaining lawns, flower beds, and trees throughout the year.
Cleaning outdoor areas including sidewalks, garages, and driveways.
Repairing and adjusting maintenance equipment as needed.
Assisting with department relocations and waste transport.

📋 Required Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates should have:

A valid U.S. Driver’s License.
3+ years of driving experience, including light trucks and heavy-duty equipment.
Experience in landscaping, horticulture, or grounds maintenance.
Ability to lift up to 80 lbs and work in extreme weather (summer & winter).
Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and teamwork skills.
