About the Role

As a Sales Manager (player-coach), you’ll do more than supervise—you’ll actively run discovery calls, demos, proposals, and negotiations, ensuring pipeline growth and revenue success. You’ll also help optimize sales infrastructure, build scalable strategies, and mentor future sales talent.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Hands-On Sales Execution

  • Own the full sales cycle from prospecting to closed-won.

  • Conduct discovery calls, demos, and strategy conversations directly with clients.

  • Build custom proposals and negotiate contracts.

Sales Strategy & Optimization

  • Develop data-driven, scalable sales strategies for Zen Media and Optimum7.

  • Refine messaging, outreach cadences, and conversion workflows.

  • Optimize CRM accuracy, forecasting, and pipeline management.

Outbound Prospecting & Pipeline Growth

  • Identify high-fit prospects and segment markets for new client acquisition.

  • Build outbound sourcing strategies when inbound leads are low.

  • Ensure a healthy top-of-funnel with consistent activity and targeted outreach.

Collaboration & Leadership

  • Work closely with Marketing to align campaigns and lead flow.

  • Partner with Account Management for seamless handoffs and client retention.

  • Collaborate directly with the CEO on revenue, strategy, and process improvements.

  • Mentor and train future sales reps as the department grows.

Reporting & Insights

  • Present performance metrics, KPI tracking, and forecasting to leadership.

  • Provide actionable recommendations for driving continuous improvement.

What We’re Looking For

  • 7+ years of experience, including 3+ years in SaaS/technology sales and 2+ years in leadership or sales management.

  • Proven ability to exceed revenue targets and implement repeatable sales processes.

  • Deep understanding of CRM systems (Salesforce preferred), sales metrics, and forecasting.

  • Strong outbound prospecting skills and pipeline generation capabilities.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

  • High ownership mindset: self-motivated, data-driven, and performance-oriented.

  • Adaptable, solution-focused, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-pipeline environment.

Location: Florida is preferred for close leadership collaboration, but candidates in the EST time zone will also be considered.
