Role Overview: Venture Scout (Independent Contractor)
Later Capital is hiring driven and intellectually curious Venture Scouts to help identify, evaluate, and source early-stage startups globally.
As a 1099 independent contractor, you will play a critical role in shaping the firm’s investment pipeline by researching companies, engaging founders, and producing clear investment insights.
This role offers asymmetric upside, meaning your compensation is directly tied to the success of the deals you source.

Pipeline Development

Base Support
Monthly stipend: $1,000 – $3,000
Covers research tools, networking, travel, and sourcing costs
Deal Sourcing Economics
Carry participation: 0.5% – 2.0% of carried interest on sourced deals
Direct upside participation in funded companies
Exit Bonus
0.5% – 1.0% of exit value
Paid upon IPO, acquisition, or secondary liquidity event
