🧠 Job Summary

As a Medicare Specialist, you will be responsible for managing Medicare receivables from billing through resolution. This includes claim review, follow-up, account maintenance, productivity reporting, and ensuring compliance with Medicare billing standards.

This role directly supports patient care by helping ensure accurate billing and timely reimbursement.

🛠 Key Responsibilities

Maintain current knowledge of Medicare regulations and office operations
Review claims for accuracy, completeness, and proper coding
Follow up on Medicare claims to ensure timely collection
Communicate effectively with payers and internal teams to resolve accounts
Maintain accurate account documentation and system updates
Meet daily productivity and quality goals
Support team members during high-volume periods or absences
Analyze and resolve claim edits to submit clean Medicare claims
Perform necessary non-billable adjustments and plines
Escalate problem accounts and issues to leadership when needed

🎓 Qualifications

Required / Preferred Experience

1 year in a productivity- or quality-based role or
Direct healthcare office experience preferred
