This role focuses on ensuring the operational readiness of perimeter defense solutions for multiple clients in a managed services environment.

🔍 Role Summary

As a Network Services Engineer III, you will be responsible for designing, maintaining, and supporting firewall and perimeter defense platforms. You will solve complex engineering challenges, respond to escalations, and act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) across security assessments and service delivery initiatives.

🛠 Key Responsibilities

Perform engineering tasks to support perimeter defense services
Maintain operational readiness of firewalls and security platforms
Install, configure, and audit perimeter defense solutions
Handle technical incidents and client escalations
Review and consult on change-control requests
Understand client objectives and develop solutions to meet their security goals
Participate in an on-call rotation
Support assessments as an SME across multiple security domains
Assist with broader Perimeter Defense Practice Group initiatives

🧠 Preferred Skills & Expertise

Advanced security management for firewalls
Expertise in cross-platform firewall solutions:

Strong networking knowledge:
- OSPF
- BGP
Ability to manage multiple client environments simultaneously
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Understanding of managed services best practices
Practical application of Information Security (InfoSec) principles
Experience delivering services in MSP or MSSP environments

🎓 Qualifications & Experience

3–5 years of firewall and IT perimeter defense experience
Prior experience working at an MSP or MSSP
Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field (or equivalent experience)
Required: Fortinet Firewall certification and/or hands-on experience
Preferred Certifications:
- Check Point
- Palo Alto
- Cisco
Experience in:
- Large-scale service delivery
- Legal industry IT environments (preferred)
