The Role: Security Manager

As the Security Manager, you will oversee the entire security operations of the Bloomington facility, ensuring compliance, safety, and resilience. This includes managing vendor contracts, fire safety systems, emergency preparedness, and business continuity plans. You’ll lead a team of security supervisors and contractors while acting as the primary point of contact for audits, inspections, and emergency response.Key Responsibilities:

Manage and monitor vendor security contracts and performance.
Develop and implement security protocols, risk assessments, and audits.
Oversee surveillance, access control, and alarm systems.
Ensure fire safety compliance and coordinate with local emergency services.
Lead security-related drills, emergency notifications, and crisis management.
Support business continuity planning and disaster recovery.
Collaborate with HR and leadership teams on security-related personnel matters.
Supervise and train security staff, fostering a culture of safety.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Emergency Management, or related field.
7+ years of progressive security/emergency management experience.
3+ years in supervisory or leadership roles.
Current First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications.
Strong knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, ADA, and other safety/security regulations.
Experience with vendor management and contract oversight.
Certified Protection Professional (CPP), CBCP, or emergency management certifications preferred.
