Role Overview: Forklift Driver

As a Forklift Driver, you’ll play an essential role in ensuring goods are handled, stored, and moved safely and efficiently. From receiving shipments to preparing orders for delivery, you’ll help maintain DSV’s commitment to excellence in logistics.

Key Responsibilities:

Receiving & Put-Away: Safely unload inbound shipments and store products in designated areas using WMS (Warehouse Management System).
Order Picking: Accurately pull and prepare products for shipment, meeting customer service and productivity standards.
Inventory Control: Maintain records, assist in cycle counts, and ensure stock rotation.
Safety & Quality: Inspect products for damage, maintain a clean work environment, and follow all safety protocols.
Forklift Operations: Operate forklifts, clamp trucks, or other equipment to move goods efficiently.
General Maintenance: Perform minor forklift maintenance, change fuel tanks, repair pallets, and assist in warehouse upkeep.

Qualifications & Skills Needed

To succeed in this role, candidates should bring:

Education: High school diploma or GED (required).
Experience: At least 6 months of warehouse/logistics experience (1–2 years preferred).
Certification: Valid forklift certification (required).
Skills:
- Experience with RF scanners and warehouse management systems.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills for inventory and order verification.
Physical Demands: Ability to stand/walk for long periods, lift 21–50 lbs, and work in varied warehouse temperatures.
