Job Summary
Hospitality Associates serve as the frontline ambassadors of Corewell Health, providing support, guidance, and comfort to patients, families, and guests throughout the hospital. The position focuses on customer service, guest relations, way-finding, service recovery, and event coordination.
You will work closely with hospital leadership, clinical staff, volunteers, environmental services, security, and valet teams to ensure a welcoming and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
Guest & Patient Support

Greet patients and visitors warmly, creating an excellent first impression

Assist with hospital way-finding and visitor information

Provide resources to help resolve guest concerns and questions

Conduct bedside rounding to identify service opportunities
Service Recovery & Conflict Resolution

Address guest complaints with professionalism and empathy

Perform service recovery for dissatisfied guests

Collaborate with Service Excellence teams to achieve positive outcomes
Hospital Environment & Equipment

Maintain cleanliness of lobbies, entrances, and doorways

Locate, clean, and manage wheelchairs and scooters across the hospital

Tag equipment for repair and ensure proper availability at entrances
Emergency & Surgical Area Support

Surgical Areas:

Act as a liaison between clinical staff and patient companions

Enter family phone numbers for surgical updates

Emergency Department:

Greet guests at entrances

Assist patients in and out of vehicles

Round hourly to resolve service needs

Provide comfort items when needed

Transportation & Event Support

Assist with cab services, bus vouchers, and other transportation needs

Patient celebrations

Volunteer & Lost & Found Support

Provide guidance and training to volunteer staff

Manage Lost & Found operations:

Required Qualifications
To qualify for this position, candidates must meet the following:
