Key Responsibilities
As a K–12 School Counselor, you will play a central role in shaping student success by:
Academic Planning & Advising

Guide students and families in course selection aligned with goals and graduation requirements.

Develop and manage individualized academic plans for K–12 students.

Monitor student progress, conduct credit checks, and support interventions as needed.
Transcripts, Scheduling & Records Management

Maintain student transcripts, calculate GPA, and ensure accurate course placements.

Process credit transfers and academic records while maintaining FERPA compliance.
Social-Emotional & Whole Child Support

Provide counseling and referrals for academic motivation and personal development.

Identify at-risk students and implement intervention plans.

Facilitate virtual guidance lessons and workshops on decision-making, peer relationships, and emotional wellness.
College, Career & Life Readiness

Assist high school students with college planning, scholarships, SAT/ACT timelines, and career exploration.

Support applications for postsecondary programs and financial aid (FAFSA).

Coordinate virtual college fairs, career panels, and readiness events.
Collaboration & Compliance

Work closely with teachers, learning specialists, academic coaches, and families.

Ensure compliance with accreditation standards and FERPA regulations.

Maintain accurate documentation in SIS or CRM systems.
Who Should Apply
The ideal candidate will:

Hold a valid K–12 School Counseling license.

Have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in School Counseling or Education.

Bring at least 2 years of experience in education with knowledge of academic advising, transcripts, and student support.
