Job Overview: Part-Time Therapist / Clinical Social Worker

• Travel Required: Up to 25%

• Work Location: On the road

This role focuses on providing youth-centered mental health services in real-world environments, helping families manage behavioral challenges and improve overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities

As a Part-Time Therapist, your responsibilities will include:

• Providing individual in-home therapy, group therapy, telehealth sessions, and in-community therapy

• Conducting bio-psycho-social assessments (preferred skill)

• Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans

• Teaching coping skills, anger management, and social skills

• Reducing high-risk behaviors such as self-injurious behavior (SIB) and physical aggression

• Supporting youth and caregivers in improving decision-making and managing behavioral challenges

• Collaborating with the Child Family Treatment Team and other multidisciplinary professionals

• Completing all required clinical documentation, including intake forms, treatment plans, progress notes, and cyber notes

• Attending monthly meetings and submitting mandatory clinical paperwork on time

Required Licenses & Certifications

Applicants must meet the following licensing requirements:

• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) – Required

• Other acceptable licenses include:

  • LSW

  • LAC

  • LCADC

  • LPC

  • LMFT

Additional Requirements:

• Valid Driver’s License

• Registered and insured vehicle

• Ability to pass a criminal background check, including fingerprinting

Required Skills & Experience

Clinical Skills

• Social work experience (minimum 1 year required)

• Treatment plan development and goal setting

• Progress notes and documentation

• Experience working with youth ages 3–20

• Experience supporting children with mental health disorders

• Experience providing positive behavior supports

Preferred Experience

• Working with youth with intellectual or developmental disabilities (I/DD)

• Familiarity with counseling approaches such as:

  • CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy)

  • DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy)

  • REBT

  • Gestalt Therapy

  • Trauma-Informed Care

Education Requirements

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Family Therapy, or a related field

• Clinical Mental Health Trauma Counseling Training (preferred)

• Crisis Intervention Training (or willingness to complete) is a plus
