As a Housekeeper at Witham Court, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining a safe, hygienic, and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Your responsibilities will include:
✔ Maintaining High Cleaning Standards
You will work in line with NHS National Standards of Cleanliness and Infection Control policies, ensuring:

Cleanliness across all areas—wards and off-ward spaces

Proper use of cleaning equipment and materials

Safe disposal of waste following Trust procedures

Damp dusting of fixtures, fittings, and internal glass

Cleaning and maintaining soft furnishings, curtains, and flooring

Inspecting electrical cleaning equipment daily and reporting faults
✔ Meal Preparation & Food Safety
Your role also involves supporting patient nutrition by:

Preparing and regenerating meals for patients

Maintaining all required food safety records

Following the Food Safety Manual, Catering Policy, and legislation

Ensuring dining areas are ready before meals and cleaned afterward
✔ Stock Management & Reporting
You will help keep the facility running smoothly by:

Maintaining stocks of cleaning supplies on wards and offices

Managing linen supplies and ensuring proper laundering

Reporting any damages or maintenance issues to supervisors
✔ Flexibility Across Sites
While the main role is at Witham Court, you may occasionally be asked to work at other older adult sites to cover sickness or leave—making this role ideal for someone adaptable and reliable.
