Responsibilities

As a Food Server in the Cafeteria, your daily tasks will include:

Preparing sandwiches, espresso, baked goods, and other food items.
Attending to customer requests promptly and with a friendly attitude.
Processing payments accurately and maintaining cash register operations.
Restocking food displays, containers, utensils, and cups as needed.
Ensuring cleanliness by washing dishes, wiping counters, sweeping, and mopping.
Following all federal, state, local, and company health and safety standards.
Assisting in other areas such as Hot Foods and Kitchen when required.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates should meet the following requirements:

Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
Age: Minimum 18 years old.
Experience: Previous food service experience required.
Certification: Current Food Safety Training Certificate (must be renewed every 3 years).
Languages: Ability to read, understand, and speak English and Spanish preferred.
Skills: Strong customer service, interpersonal communication, and basic math skills. Knife-handling skills are an asset.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, and reach for extended periods.
Lift, push, and pull carts of food and supplies.
Comfortable working with knives, ovens, coolers, cleaning supplies, and hot/cold environments.
